The Family to Family Progam involves the Food Pantry, which is currently manned and supported by seven Bell Elementary School District Churches. Because we have extended the mission of the pantry to cover the 28805 zip code - East Asheville - both Bell and Haw Creek Elementary School districts are covered. We need and earnestly appeal to the Haw Creek Churches and the East Asheville Community at large for support. Support can be in the form of donations of nonperishable food or fiscal donations to allow us to purchase food from MANNA to be used for distribution.

Our intent is to meet the critical physical needs of families, within our churches capabilities, that are not met by government or other non-governmental agencies. Our goal is for the churches in the Haw Creek Elementary School district to replicate this plan for the school. The Family to Family Ministry - Bell Elementary School District - is a collaboration of the churches in the Bell Elementary School District to create a "safety net" for the families at Bell Elementary. The churches provide volunteers and material resources, supported by MANNA, Big Brothers Big Sisters and Children First. We have built a simple replicable model that we hope will be used by churches in other elementary school districts.
